Rain in Karachi yesterday caused widespread disruption as the weather suddenly changed on Thursday night. The rain in Karachi yesterday led to concerns of water accumulation in several localities.
The Meteorological Department warned that the monsoon system could affect Karachi from Friday to Sunday. Heavy rain on Saturday may cause urban flooding, while light to moderate showers are likely on Sunday. Weather experts have highlighted that a low-pressure system near the Indian state of Gujarat could bring more rain to parts of Sindh, including Karachi.
Citizens are advised to monitor the weather and avoid unnecessary travel as the rain in Karachi may intensify. The risk of waterlogging remains in Karachi and other cities of Sindh.
